Finally some good news for OSU. A former star player, Vrabel returns to coach the LBs of THE OHIO STATE UNIVERSITY. He may end up being a great coach, but to me, I think this is a form of nepotism. Larry and Mike went to OSU together and now Larry is adding one of his cronies to his staff. Ultimately, I think Vrabel will be a good addition, but the messy part will be if he doesn't measure up. Should be interesting...

Well, if OSU doesn't produce the blame will fall on the head coach... and to an extent on the Offensive and Defensive Coordinators. But Vrabel, as linebacker coach, ought to be safe from the brunt of most criticism. But I think he'll make a great coach if only because good players will want to emulate his style.

Good points. Not the highest profile postion in the football program so Vrabel wont shoulder much blame. On the recruiting front he'd have to be considered a positive for OSU.
